The third Just Single Speed Dating event took place a week after the scandalous Sepang Formula 1 race which took place on 4-5 April 09.
The emcee then organized their very own 10 minutes quick speed dating session by asking the participant to describe 2 unique things about them to others. Some describe themselves as ‘arrogant’, a ‘wannabe rockstar aka guitarist’ and some director wannabe. Fuuhh… Not too shy of a crowd we have here, huh :p?
It was then action time, as the girls settled to their designated tables and guys taking their place at the counter table. It was .. SET… READY.. and GO….
The girls were a bit more reserved, while the boys swiftly made their opening smooth talk. The 5 minutes allocated time seems a little too short for them, and they continue to carry even further during the break.
But then the participants settled comfortably and the crowd started to mingle well making new friends and network. Some boys were already making their very own ‘rock climbing’ date. It’s great that they took up the advice that Speed Dating is not just about hooking up with person from the opposite gender, but also about having the networking opportunity with another circle of friends.
The event concluded at about 530 pm, and everyone stayed back to have a more expanded ‘networking experience’ until about 630 pm with the leftover sandwiches from the break.
Overall, a very good session indeed. Thank you all for making it a success.
