F1 CONTEST RESULT

Who says being Single isn’t all that cool? Not according to the feedback we have received when we launched the recent Just Singles F1 contest! Due to the overwhelming response that we have received, we gave away 4 F1 tickets to 2 lucky Just Singles members.

Hence, we are pleased to announce to you the winner of our recent F1 contest.

HEAR YEE HEAR YEE.. ITS WINNER 1

Simple, yet this true story of hers (yes2 about the breakfast and the lepaq in the towers and of course the basketball game) was indeed what Speed Dating has to offer. Ready to open up to the possibilies?

WINNER 1 ESSAY

Kuala Lumpur often contradicts. It is so SMALL, you end up meeting everybody who knows everybody you know, and yet at the same time it seems so BIG, because that one person you search for, you don't seem to bump into.

Just Singles might be able to make your Kuala Lumpur seem a bit more MEDIUM sized. While it may not be your stepping stone into that other group of Just Married people, you meet a whole new bunch of characters that might eventually link you up to THAT one person (total pure optimism required here).

In the mean time, if you’re happy enough to settle for the simpler things in life; an extra friend or two to g-talk you through your boring working hours, a good company for a lazy Sunday morning mamak breakfast, friendlier faces when you roam around Petronas Twin Towers, basketball games that don’t happen even when you arrive at the court on time and a possible chance of winning an RM1950 F1 Diaomand Grandstand qualifying tickets (hint, hint), Just Singles may make you want to stay just that for a while – single :)

AND THE CAME WINNER 2

We weren’t going to let this entry goes off, as I think this is one of the more honest essay I’ve read. And after spending some time talking to this guy, I honestly believe that this entry comes from the heart.

Well done! Here you go…

WINNER 2 ESSAY

I never heard of speed dating until one fine during hangout day with some friends, I was being introduced to the idea of speed dating. I was initially skeptical on the idea but on the other hand, I thought its’ something unique to try on. So after a long deep thought, my friend and I decided to give it a shot. After all, I was actually on a long leave from work so I had plenty of time to spare, and the lack of socializing for so long due to frequent work commitment was a major boost for the decision. So after finally submitting the registration form, I sat back and waited for d’day to come (and yes, more or less excited to face something that I would never have in my right mind agree to).

So finally it was d’day. After picking up my friend at KL Sentral, we straightaway drove to Decanter. Oh ya, one of the reasons why I agreed to join this speed dating was that the venue was somehow familiar to me and within my territory, cozy, and easy access. If not, I would have filled up my typical day by spending the time on a golf course or a fishing pond that for me, was the everyday ecstasy.
.
We were 10 minutes late because I had to resort to picking up a friend and we told Judd that we will be a bit late anyway. I had some reservation upon arriving, and chose to park my car facing Decanter to do some preliminary ‘observation’ first and end up having several sticks of cigarette. Why several sticks of cigarette? It’s because of me! All of a sudden I succumb to my early skeptic and started to sweat heavily. My thoughts ran wild, “what the hell am I doing? What the hell am I supposed to say in 4 minutes? How do I start talking? What if I’m not the expected one? What to talk about?”

I told my friend “Dude, I’m not going in and let’s go for a drink somewhere else. I know we have registered, but I’m not going in and I think I shouldn’t have registered in the first place”. After an intense persuasion from my friend, finally I agreed to go in.

When I got in, it was quite surprising that there were several hot babes and interesting people around which are beyond my expectation. So we went through the speed dating session and it was really interesting and lively unexpectedly. My intension wasn’t so much into looking for a date but just for socializing, trying something new and get to know people. As a result, I got one match and we still remain as friends till now.

So, from a totally nerve wrecking feeling to a totally awesome experience! Cheers and well done JustSingles!!
