We were happy to hear good news about some clients who has actually got married amongst them and some who is heading towards actually having a relationship. I even had the opportunity to match make 2 friends who just got engaged last month after a year of courting.
Looks like Cupid hit its strike, yet again.
With the long disappearance from playing cupid, the event was truly missed by some old clients who decided to sign up for this particular event. What would have be another un-eventful Saturday afternoon, became quite the opposite.
On 18 December, Just Singles had the opportunity to host 32 single boys & girls to an exciting speed dating event, the first and only one that we had in 2010. This will mark the many more to come for 2011 it seems.
The afternoon event kicked off with a game called Bingo, where participants were asked to go through a set of 5x5 questions with their opposite partner. The two lucky participants who had the quickest Bingo completed were given a heart shape box of Ferrero Roche, nice touch eh?
The speed dating started with the 17 couples going through a 4-5 mins speed date and rotates from one table to the other. Most were rushing against time, especially when they felt like they had limited time to learn about the other person. Love cannot rush, as some might say.
But then it was timely that after the 9th date, that the participant gets to recuperate and enjoy the delicacies offered. The participants got more comfortable enjoying the quick refreshment while catching up on other things they didn’t get to ask the other participant before, during the quick 4mins speed date.
We received great feedback at the end from the participants. Some whom were forced to come by their friends were quite surprised that the event was not as bad as what they thought. It only takes a change in mindset to prove to people that sometimes, taking a bit of risk in trying something new is what you would need in life.
